Drenthe
May 19th was a travel day from Honselersdijk to Norg. Here is a link to a map. En route we stopped in Gouda, Ermelo and Nijkerk. We ended up not leaving enough time in Gouda to do much more than stop for lunch. Ermelo and Nijkerk was visiting with family.
Nijkerk
We arrived at the Airbnb in the dark so it was quite something to wake up the next day and see the area. We are in a beautiful forest with oh so many birds!
This is the Airbnb in Norg and home until Friday.

From Wikipedia:
"Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman (commonly called H.N. Werkman; 29 April 1882 – 10 April 1945) was an experimental Dutch artist, typographer and printer. He set up a clandestine printing house during the Nazi occupation (1940–45) and was shot by the Gestapo in the closing days of the war...Werkman was a member of the artists' group De Ploeg...
De Ploeg (Dutch pronunciation: [dÉ™ plux]; English: The Plough or The Group) is an artist collective from the city of Groningen in the Netherlands. The collective was established in 1918 by a group of young artists. Their goal was to create new opportunities for exhibitions and to educate the general public about developments in art, architecture, and literature. The name was suggested by one of the founding members Jan Altink, because he felt like a lot of ground still had to be broken for modern art in Groningen. Several art styles were prominent within "De Ploeg", including expressionism, constructivism and impressionism. This artist collective still exists, but its most important time lay in the 1920s.[1]"
We have only been to Groningen a few times, and never to walk around. This series of photos gives a very different view of the city than we have seen. Very nice and many thanks again for continuing making us feel part of the experience.
