Apologies

I owe you two days of photos (Brussels and London) but it's late and the internet isn't working well so you'll have to be patient. Yesterday the drive took quite a bit longer than google predicted but we still had some time in the evening to explore a little bit of Brussels.

Everything went surprisingly well today. We thought our options for getting from the hotel to Brussels-midi were walking back to the central station (which we discovered the day before was a little long with our luggage) or take a taxi. But when I asked at the front desk she said turn right, then take the second right, then go down. Take line 3 or 4.
So we headed off in that direction and low and behold found a metro stop and were at the gare-midi in no time with no fuss.
The Eurostar train was, well to be honest, a little disappointing. There was no leg room and we barely had a window. But the ride was smooth and it got us to London. First thing I saw once out of the train was people drinking tea. Yup, we've left holland. That's the end of my good coffee ;-)
The Airbnb is right near the station and is really nice. We did a quick grocery shopping and then headed to Westminster. Saw Big Ben, parliament, the London eye, the Thames...
