Three hour tour

Today we attempted a walk out of a book we found in the AirBnB. The walk goes right through the farm where we are staying so we thought we would start there (see point 3 on the "map" - I put map in quotes because it's rather useless as a map!) The entire loop should take 3 1/2 hours but it took us 2 hours just to do one leg! The extra time was partly because we kept stopping to take pictures or play with the cows but mostly because the directions aren't very clear and we spent a lot of time trying to find the stile over a fence that turned out to be the wrong fence completely. I think we passed through one gate 4 times trying to find our way. Eventually we made it to Bettws Gwerfil Goch. As much as we enjoyed our romp through the fields. We opted to take the road back home from there. My fit bit says we did 9km and google says the trail proper is 6.4km.

okay so we did make another wrong turn but at least it took us the right way. This is the stile that we missed. We climbed  a gate further up the road instead.

These sheep were happy that we took the wrong route instead of walking through their field.

They sure don't make the markers easy to find!

These guys were hilarious. They would run away when we looked at them and would run after us when we turned our backs.
